OUR MISSION:
Our mission is to promote self-sufficiency for the
visually impaired in the Athens Metropolitan Area and
throughout the state of Georgia. VISTAS uses advanced
technologies to provide clients and their families with
training, education, and advocacy services. The VISTAS
CENTER was originally funded in 2001 in part by a
two-year $248,375 grant from the Technology
Opportunities Program, National Telecommunications and
Information Agency. |

VISTAS CENTER is a unit of the Institute for Community
and Organizational Development, Inc., a 501 (c) (3)
nonprofit organization located in Athens-Clarke County
Georgia. |

The
VISTAS CENTER is a certified rehabilitation service
provider under the auspices of Vocational
Rehabilitation - Georgia Department of Labor.
